Deep Dive
The v4.0 syllabus is not the old CTFL with a new cover. ISTQB rewrote it, and question banks built for v3.1 will actively mislead you.
The 2023 rewrite pushed weight onto test techniques and made them harder: boundary value analysis now includes 3-value boundaries, decision tables and state transition questions expect you to calculate coverage, and whole-team and Agile concepts run through every chapter. Each question is written to a K-level - remember, understand, apply - and the apply-level ones are small puzzles, not definitions.
40 questions, 60 minutes, 26 correct to pass. That sounds generous until you hit four coverage-calculation questions in a row. This PDF has 242 real questions from the actual v4.0 exam, so the technique puzzles and ISTQB's exact glossary phrasing are already familiar.
