NSE 7 Enterprise Firewall is the natural specialization after NSE 4, and it's where FortiGate stops being a single-box exercise. The 7.6 exam (FCSS_EFW_AD-7.6) replaced the 7.4 version in September 2025.
What decides it: advanced routing and OSPF/BGP in a Fortinet fabric, the Security Fabric itself and how devices share telemetry, hardware and software switching, advanced IPsec including ADVPN, and the deep troubleshooting flows - session tables, diagnose commands, and packet flow through the inspection engines. This is a design-and-troubleshoot exam for engineers running multi-device enterprise deployments.
